feature one the esplanade reaches new heights
For 70 years, Chevron has partnered with Australian communities to provide the energy that powers progress.
In Perth, Western Australia, the development of One The Esplanade at Elizabeth Quay, soon to be Chevron’s new Australian headquarters, reflects our long-term commitment to the State and an exciting new chapter for our company.
Property developer Brookfield Properties and builder Multiplex recently reached an important construction milestone, with the building reaching its ultimate height of 135m above sea level.
A topping out celebration marked the significant milestone and included a traditional smoking ceremony and welcome to country, led by Noongar community leader Barry McGuire.
Close consultation with traditional owners of the Whadjuk Noongar area and Noongar community representatives has been integral to the development of One The Esplanade.
As focus turns to the interior building fit-out, Chevron has collaborated closely with Noongar community representatives to ensure cultural safety, a strong sense of place and representation of the site’s heritage are at the heart of One The Esplanade.
This collaboration has significantly influenced key elements including landscaping, naming and theming of central spaces, and the development of unique Aboriginal artworks, to be located throughout Chevron workspaces.

Brookfield Properties Regional Director, Development and Property Nick Ozich said the development is targeting 5 star Green Star, a minimum 5 star NABERS energy rating and an IWBI WELL Core Gold Certification.
“With sustainability deeply etched into our development psyche, One The Esplanade will stand among Perth’s most advanced and sustainable commercial buildings,” said Ozich.
The 29-storey, riverfront tower will feature state-of-the-art end of trip facilities, retail, food and beverage options, as well as gymnasium and childcare facilities.
