feature powering positive change
At Chevron Australia, we are committed to ensuring the communities we operate in thrive.
This year we’ve shown just how powerful human energy can be by reaching a milestone $1.5 million contribution to the WA community through our workplace giving program, Change for Charity.
Since 2009, Chevron Australia employees have donated $750,000 to a range of organisations through our workplace giving partner, United Way West Australia (UWWA).
Chevron matched this contribution dollar-for-dollar and together, we've invested $1.5 million in helping some of our community's most disadvantaged members.
United Way WA is improving lives and potential throughout the state by encouraging community members to Give, Advocate and Volunteer in support of education, economic and health outcomes.
In 2017, more than 250 Chevron Australia employees donated over 3,000 hours of their time to help the WA community through company-supported volunteer days.

More than 200 organisations are eligible for funding through Change for Charity and administration costs are entirely covered by Chevron, meaning 100 percent of employee donations are received by nominated charities as well as Chevron's dollar-for-dollar contribution.
We believe our business succeeds best when the people we work with and the communities in which we operate succeed too. That’s why we’re committed to helping support our local community through initiatives like workplace giving.
